Dear Readers and Writers…
The aim of any teacher education institution is to produce well learned individuals capable of thinking independently, creatively and objectively which is an essential quality of prospective teacher.
I would like to quote Robert Frost at this juncture “There are two kinds of teachers: the kind that fill you with so much quail shot that you can't move, and the kind that just gives you a little prod behind and you jump to the skies”.
In today’s world it is essential to develop teachers with a difference so at CTE we give enough emphasis on research in the field of education. This will help to enhance quality of teacher education programme in the state in specific and at national and global level in general. Also budding researchers need a platform to present their views and ideas for enhancing quality of education. This platform is provided at CTE by conducting various workshops, seminars and organizing lecture series.
It is said that nineteenth century belongs to scientists, twentieth century belongs to the engineers but every century belongs to teachers. It would be quite appt to quote Rouss “The foundation of the education is to help us in our exploration of the ultimate universal values so that the truth of the universe may become our truth and give power to our life”.
